InboxScout is made by Cooper Studios LLC ("we"). These terms cover the InboxScout desktop app, its phone companion page, and this website. By installing or using them you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. The app also shows plain-language terms at first launch; those and this page say the same things.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the official InboxScout releases on devices you own or control, for yourself, your household, or your organization. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or use its name or logo for your own product. The source code is available under the InboxScout Source-Available License, which governs any use of the code itself.
Do not use InboxScout to access email you are not authorized to read, to harass or deceive anyone, to circumvent security measures, or to break the law. Do not attempt to extract or reuse the app's code, models, or prompts beyond what the source license allows.
InboxScout is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It uses heuristics and, if you choose, third-party AI models; it can misread, miss, or mis-rank an email. Do not rely on it as your only way to notice something important, such as a legal deadline or a medical instruction. Always read the original email before acting on money, contracts, or health.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cooper Studios LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from the app, the website, or these terms, even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app (currently nothing) or fifty US dollars.
The app updates itself; a release may add, change, or remove features. We may update these terms; when a change matters, the app shows the new terms once at launch and the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app; your data is on your computer and goes with it. We may end your license if you materially breach these terms.
"InboxScout", the logo, and "Your email, scouted." are trademarks of Cooper Studios LLC. See the trademark policy.
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the app and website. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. Questions: hello@inboxscout.ai.
